The Rolling Dog Ranch Animal Sanctuary in Montana rescues and shelters disabled animals. Every animal who arrives at the sanctuary gets another chance to have a safe and loving home. Our residents include blind dogs, blind horses, deaf dogs, blind cats, and others with medical issues like muscular dystrophy.  Although these animals may have disabilities, they do not consider themselves handicapped. They just want to get on with life and enjoy themselves. Thanks to the support of the sanctuary's friends, that's what they get to do here.  The Rolling Dog Ranch is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, and donations are tax-deductible.

The Hop-A-Long Hollow Rabbit Adoption & Animal Rescue

Rambling Rosie
Hop A Long Hollow Rabbit and Small Animal Rescue, believes that all life is precious. We would like you to meet Rosie who was dumped at our rescue in a cardboard box in the middle of the night. Her teeth were overgrown into her gums and she could not eat. She was emaciated and so weak she could not move out of her own waste. Her skin had been horribly scalded by her urine. All four feet had deep sores and her front feet splayed out and were un-useable. The photo you see is Rosie four weeks after she arrived.  She is happy, healed up almost completely and healthy.  Her front legs still splay but with continuing good nutrition and medication (not to mention love) Rosie can move where she wants to go and enjoys a good quality of life.  Rosie will be a permanent resident of the Rescue. Please help us help others like Rosie and the many bunnies and small animals who are in good health but in desperate need of loving homes.

International Fund for Animal Welfare

From the outset, the founders of the International Fund for Animal Welfare, or IFAW, rejected the notion that the interests of humans and animals were separate. Instead they embraced the understanding that the fate and future of harp seals-and all other animals on Earth-are inextricably linked to our own.

We are now joined in this important work by some two million contributors worldwide. This broad base of support makes it possible for IFAW to engage communities, government leaders, and like-minded organizations around the world and achieve lasting solutions to pressing animal welfare and conservation challenges-solutions that benefit both animals and people. Over the years, our approach has been as varied as the species we protect.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), with more than 1.8 million members and supporters, is the largest animal rights organization in the world.

PETA focuses its attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time: on factory farms, in laboratories, in the clothing trade, and in the entertainment industry. We also work on a variety of other issues, including the cruel killing of beavers, birds and other "pests," and the abuse of backyard dogs.

PETA works through public education, cruelty investigations, research, animal rescue, legislation, special events, celebrity involvement, and protest campaigns.

Success Story of Brodie, Summer 2004, Texas

4 year old Brody, a shy Golden Retriever was living life in Texas chained in a backyard with no human contact (except when he barked, he was beaten with a piece of wood), filthy water, a piece of tin for shelter and little to no food. Galveston County Animal Control forced his owner to relinquish him to their facility (or face jail time). Brody was rehabilitated, fully vetted and finally discovered the warmth of human hands, blankets and plenty of food. Brody was adopted by a loving family in the Fall of 2004 and enjoys being the center of attention!

DOGS DESERVE BETTER is a nonprofit organization
dedicated to freeing the chained dog and bringing
our 'best friend' into the home and family.

Dogs Deserve Better, 2003 First Place Winner of the ASPCA/Chase Pet Protector Award, is a voice for chained and penned dogs, whose sadness speaks only through the eyes. As the days become years, many of these dogs sit, lay, eat, and defecate within the same 10-foot radius. Chained by the neck, they exist without respect, love, exercise, social interaction, and sometimes even basic nourishment. They live as prisoners, yet long to be pets.
